Awesome! Are they in the same place as the other gender edit options? I'm on mobile rn so that's prob why I can't see them.

Right, today I learned how to do the code thing. I have managed to change the profile settings so that the default gender (male of female) that you have to choose when signing up does not show on your profile. I have added a whole load of gender options you can choose which do show up. I used the same options that are used by the non binary and genderqueer support forum, if there are any that you want added etc then drop me a message. The irritating male or female symbol still shows up under your avatar but you can disable that in your privacy settings if you don't want it visible. It's not a perfect solution as you still need to choose male or female at sign up but it's the best I can do for now. thank you for going out of your way to create this. it means a lot. if i may make a suggestion, would it be possible to rename this feature? i realize that you probably want there to be a distinction between the obligatory male/female "Gender" field and this new one because seeing both of them together can feel repetitive, but i still think that "Gender" would be better. most people will probably use one field or the other anyway and it feels even stranger to see "Gender Options" listed under someone's avatar / in someone's profile... i thought of suggesting "Gender Identity", but that can be problematic. anyway, it's just a thought. if renaming it isn't possible, that's fine. i'm happy to have such an option at all.

Cool, it can't just be called gender because then it would get hidden along with the default gender option. I am at work today but I'll change it later when I'm finished

Maybe this is also nitpicky, but fe/male isn't gender, that's biological sex. Wo/man is gender.

Wo/man is gender. true. that said, for better or for worse, they are commonly used interchangeably by cis, trans and / or non-binary people alike and, unfortunately, male / female cannot be changed in the dafault gender settings...

Sorry I didn't have time to try to sort out the field title for gender yesterday, I ended up doing a 12 hour shift with no break and came home and crawled in to bed. I will try to rename it gender(s) and see if that will work and not get hidden. On the topic of fe/ male vs wo/ man, I thought that the best way to go with the names would be to use those that an LGBTQ+ board had used so I used the same options that I found here: nonbinary.proboards.com/thread/60/new-gender-options-addedI can change the male and female options to woman/ man if that is necessary. I will try to find time in the next couple of days to sort these things out but I am working and have school every day so it won't be done instantly. I am sorry that this has caused more issues because I was trying to make these changes to benefit the forum and make members more comfortable. Me and the rest of the mods are trying to sort out the features that people want but as a group of volunteers on an imperfect site we can not always implement changes easily and quickly. (I did just learn how to multiquote though. I WILL make this site my bitch)

Thank you for being understanding I have changed the field name to Gender(s), which worked. I have also changed the fe/male options to wo/man.

Could I ask for the option "genderfluid"? No pressure since it doesn't bother me that it's not there since I can just use something else. But it would be nice.
