I finally finished all my holiday shopping and gift wrapping. My school is closing from the 22nd through the 1st so I get to stay with my daughter over her winter break, and my Mother decided to stay with us instead of traveling like she did last year. It's a good end to the year.

I got a different position at work that I start Monday. It is the position I had before taking my current one 4 weeks ago but I have been miserable since switching and the team on my new/old crew has not been doing well. My GM hopes that I can help push them to being more productive since I was a manager with the company before. But I am extremely happy to be getting out of this current position. It is absolutely mind numbing.

I met a sixteen year old chocolate labrador on my walk today! He was totally grey and arthritic but still loved a walk and a pat and was super sweet. I love old doggos so much.

Went for some bloodtests and was just looking at the results online and it's totally immature but whenever my TSH is totally perfect I want to shout IN YOUR FACE, because people constantly tell me it sounds like I have hypothyroidism. I. DO. NOT.

my TSH is totally perfect I don't want to be a downer, especially in this thread, but have you had a full thyroid panel done once or twice? I'm looking at the possibility of a hypothyroid or hashimoto's diagnosis and I've never had an abnormal TSH, but my T3 and T4 are all over the place. TSH doesn't really tell you much without the frame of reference of the rest of the panel.

Yeah, my doctor did one a couple years ago (and I had another about 7 years before the last). She keeps being perplexed about what's going on for me vs what the test results are. I have high ALT and I think once or twice high CRP but those just indicate inflammation.

bright points this week:
- got to give 4 of my employees raises they definitely didn't expect!
- my boss is finally reaching my same level of annoyance with the incompetent idiot they hired for leadership back in february. dude straight-up ignores my emails/PMs & has recently been outright disrespectful to me, whee. but since the idiot's lack of communication has finally reached unworkable levels, it's falling to my boss to chase him for replies, which is causing my boss more work, which is quickly getting him to the "fed up" level - which is quite satisfying. :)
- doing a stranger things 3 marathon with my bestie on the holiday. his birthday was last week, & i have a present for him that he's not expecting. :) hooray for good surprises!

Sometime in summer I ate a mango and chucked the seed into the yard for the critters to enjoy. When it dried out, I picked it up and put it into a pot not expecting much.. but I seem to have made a seedling! I am not going to be toooo optimistic seeing as they're tropical trees and I live in the coldest part of Australia, but here's hoping anyway.
