Our neighbors had an outdoor cat, who seemed to want nothing more than to be inside. Then our neighbors moved, and left that sweet baby behind. So, now she's inside. Meet TB. TB update: She's been with us for about 2 and a half months. We've treated her for fleas and worms, and she's been on a diet. She loves snuggling and pets, and since she's lost some weight I've noticed she's more energetic. Only issues are that 1) she still hates our cat do they need to be kept separate and she's been having what I would call separation anxiety when I'm away from her (understandably, honestly).

Katie that kitty is gorgeous. I can't believe someone left such a beauty behind.
Both of my foster pups have found homes! They have to finish vetting (neuter this week and last round of shots next week) and then they will be off. I will miss them but I honestly miss sleeping through the night more. Their room will be getting a deep clean once they leave as well. It was a good first experience but ready for a break.

Well it's official. I have crossed the line into crazy cat lady territory. My 2 boys have a catio that they access through one of the front windows of the house. We ended up buiding it 6' long by 2' deep. Screened in sides and front. Corrugated plastic sheeting for the top. May need to frame in the screen on the front of they end up pushing on it too much but otherwise it's done. The younger cat seems to really like it. Older one is still skeptical about the whole thing.

Tw: euthanasia and grief So last week we had to put down Bongo. She was over 9 years old and I am honestly surprised she lived as long as she did after having surgery in 2014. She would no longer eat (even liquid supplement) or go into her water on her own. I hated making the decision but knew it was for the best. Now I'm trying to clean out her tank and go through all the extra supplies and it's so hard. I can't decide what to keep and what to let go. I don't think we'll get another reptile or amphibian any time soon but it's just difficult to let go of some supplies. Staring at the empty enclosure is even worse. That corner in my living room is dark every morning and it's so strange. On the up side... the foster we've had since mid-April is doing so well! She had surgery just shy of 2 weeks ago to correct some placement issues from her hip break. They managed to not re-break the joint and she is bearing weight on the leg for the most part. We ran into the vet on our walk last night and she said her stitches should be good to come out. Then we just wait for the all clear for adoption. There is a family (im)patiently waiting to meet her that has been interested since the first week she came to us. Excited for her to meet her furever family.

I've been regaling the mods with this and thought I should share.
We started feeding a stray about two months ago who is very sweet, very tame, but apparently didn't belong to anybody.
Fast forward two months and last week she brought over her four (!!!!!!) babies.
Last night Mama and two babies came inside. I'm hoping to trap the other two tonight. Mama's got a vet appointment Thursday too get fixed and get ready to be adopted by me.
Still a little unclear with what to do with the babies. I'd really like to adopt one, but husband disagrees. A neighbor has expressed interest in one baby and I'm hoping my mom can convince my dad to adopt the remaining two. I really don't want to have to turn them over to a shelter 😞

The foster I've had for 6 months is finally going to his possible forever home! This guy came to me so crazy, unruly, and shut down. He is so smart and overall become such an amazing dog. After 4 other applicants fell through this may finally be the right one. I am going to miss him dearly- 6 months makes it tough not to get attached. But my fingers are crossed everything goes well meeting the family's current dog and cat and this boy will have his forever!

Brewster crossed rainbow bridge on Saturday September 17, 2022.
I'm broken. He had cancer. My house is so quiet. Paisley is already over all the extra attention she's getting.

Repairing some of that broken heart that Brewster left behind... He allowed me to open my heart and the big Brew shaped hole will never go away but he gave me so much joy that we're doing it all over again! This is our new pup- he comes home on February 3 We are leaning towards Igor for his name, but we love the nickname Chip, but cant think of a good name with "Chip" in it.

Two days until he's home... Heres an update picture. I also learned that someone I've known since I was 15 got their Frenchie from the same place and we had a nice little catch up over that.

Both my boys (cats) went to the vet last week for check ups and shots. Was worried the younger one was gaining weight with no explanation. Blood panel was perfect and was told he would be "The Rock" of cats. So I guess he's just a bulky boy lol. Other cat was complimented on his floofy coat. Would attach pics but cannot remember how
