Alright guys, so here's the rundown. My ears were gunned when I was 13. I wore earrings and such for a few years and then stopped wearing them at all. My holes never closed in that time. I stretched my ears to a 4g the first time but got a bad cyst on the inside of my left lobe that ended in my having to remove my tunnels all together. I left them alone for about a year & a half and then stretched again. I was bouncing between 8 & 6g, but then my leaving my plugs out at night for the last 4 or 5 days seems to have made them shrink completely back to 8g now.
Anyway, more recently I've noticed that my left ear is thicker than my right. I don't know if this is something that could've always been true and I didn't realize it or if it's a result of something else. My ears as far as my lobes are concerned are so different in general it's hard to tell. Is there anything I can do to get my right ear to thicken up? I've been doing oil massages on both ears, and like I said above, removing my plugs at night.

Would you mind posting a picture?
Otherwise, at 8g, you could try getting repierced at a larger size and correct/adjust things. Mine are a little off from each other in the angle they were done, but other people don't notice it and I've learned to deal with it.

I hope these are ok: With plugs - Right ear Left earWithout plugs - Left ear Right ear

It depends on your anatomy. A lot of people have a thin and thick lobe. I agree that getting a new, larger piercing could help with any damage that may have been caused from your first time stretching.

So, your earlobes are different shapes and that is definitely a factor in this. I personally think that your placement is pretty good for each lobe individually. But if you think it will keep bothering you, getting repierced is probably your best option.

Because honestly, these things are all I really care about since I'm not bothered by the placement. Like you said, for my ears being two different shapes, the placement really isn't that bad.

I can't guarantee anything, but they look good and don't seem irritated from the pics. You should be fine to continue stretching.

My lobes aren't the same thickness. My right lobe is thicker than my right. But my left lobe has better piercing placement. Human bodies are an imperfect biological product, they aren't made in a factory.
