sure thing. that design sounds great for scarification. IMO, something like that would look better on your thigh than your ribs anyhow, because of the way those areas move. when designing, remember you don't want to outline any tiny areas with cuts - you need to pay attention to bloodflow & all - but a good artist can help with that. you're going to ryan, right? where are you again? wherever you are, he's worth flying to. Blood flow, yes. I bet just as important as the actual design. I don't know of any cutting artists here in NW NJ. I don't know if it's even legal here. Last I read, even a dermal punch was illegal in NJ (I'm on the border of NY state) about 4 hours from Nashua. Truth Lish, if Ryan is your choice I can't think of any reason for him not to be mine when time comes. Starting my sleeve in late March which should be done by mid-May. What I may do is plan a smaller piece for the purposes of sticking my toe in the water. I've flown across country to drive a race car for a few hours so a hop to NH is like my back yard.

ryan is the best in the world. a four hour drive to him is nothing.
yep, if there's another piece you want, i certainly advise starting with the smaller one. you'll learn tons from the healing process.

Filigree maple leaf on the chest.
I've been hesitant to go ahead with it since I was worried that cleavage might interfere with healing and cause it to heal unevenly, but I finally realized that rather than just assuming it wouldn't work, it was probably worth asking the actual expert whether or not it'd be viable. He said it should be fine as long as we stick with a lighter style without too much removal (which is what I wanted anyway).

yep, he's great at taking location into consideration & accommodating it accordingly. i hope you'll post pics when it's done & during the healing process.

I certainly plan to! I doubt I'll be quite so thorough with the documentation as you've been with yours, but I definitely want to post periodic updates. I'd love to see yours when you get it done as well.

I can hardly type. My eyes are still rolling from your permanent pun. I’m glad to finally see it— I was wildly curious about what you’d decided to get. It looks great! That Ryan has some serious skills.

Wow! The exposed vein is seriously cool. Thanks for sharing the write-up. I always enjoy reading them and the procedural shots are really interesting to see.
