Must remember that not everyone is into looking at scarification procedurals. I showed lish's write-up to my gf because she's also a great lover of puns and I figured she'd appreciate it. She did, but she was also pretty squicked out. Given that it's a fairly small piece and it's not terribly bloody or anything, it didn't really register to me as "gore" or something that might squick other people out. Whoops!

Okay, so I've spent just shy of 24 hours in the car over the past three days and I'm tired and more than a little loopy. But my trip down to Nashua went really well and Ryan was awesome and I have a pretty, pretty new piece to heal now. https://www.instagram.com/p/BwXyX58nlYM

Yeah, I can't wait! I'll definitely post some more photos in a month or two when it's a little more "scar" and less "open wound". It ended up taking way longer than he initially thought it would. I am, apparently, a bleeder which slowed him down a lot when doing the outline. And then trying to do the removals on all those skinny lines ended up being pretty finicky and time consuming as well. I'm really pleased with how it came out though.

of course it's perfectly clean. i look forward to seeing how it heals. you're keeping it occlusive, yes? I just keep looking at it kind of marveling at all the tiny details and bits of negative space. The curves are all so perfect. And it's wonderfully even and beautiful despite the fact that my skin wasn't really playing ball and he ended up having to do the removals as stupidly tiny portions that took forever. And yes, occlusive dressing for the first 10 days. So hopefully there shouldn't be much/any scabbing which he said might cause some of the details to get lost. Would folks be interested in a dedicated healing journal thread? Or should I just post an update in here in a month or so with a new photo?

Would folks be interested in a dedicated healing journal thread? You know full well that this is exactly what we want
