I put another ring in my septum, so happy. It just has to settle a bit as it sticks out weirdly.

i've been wearing a round clicker for... a while. i tried one of the straight bar clickers i used to wear and now i remember why i stopped wearing them. they never sit straight, they tickle my nose and make it run. glad i didn't spend a lot of money on them lol quoting my own post to answer my own thoughts. they don't sit straight because my septum wasn't pierced straight. i discovered this when i stretched it to 12g and 10g with a plug before switching to a ring both times. it's all kinds of wonky that fortunately isn't seen at all with anything round in it.

have a mini stack in my septum now, just 3 16g rings in 10mm, 9mm and 8mm. they're sticking in a weird way atm but i assume it just has to settle. overall i'm happy with it

hope the double triple post is ok, since it's been 6 months...
at some point, i switched my stacked rings around, 2 16g and 2 18g to have 4 total. today, i took them all out to deep clean them and discovered it'd stretched to 8g, so i added another ring, woo!

Those of y'all who've had a punched septum, did you experience any shrinkage at all when you let it go naked for a while? I had mine punched straight to 6g and have actually never really gone naked with it. Thinking about trying for a while but don't really know what to expect.

I got mine done with an o-needle straight to 8g but I've had rings in it for years without removing them (had a segment ring put in instead of a clicker and never tried to get it out myself or went back to have someone remove it lol). But I don't ever really recall it shrinking much to where I'd have to put in a 10g piece even if I've left it out for a few days? Though I think I do have some 10g pinchers somewhere so maybe it did and it's been so long that I'm forgetting... I do know I've never had to go through a whole re-stretching process with it. If I did have to wear the 10g piece I either got it as a precaution or to wear for a little bit to "warm up" to putting 8g in like people do before they put DF plugs in after going naked in their earlobes for a bit.

Thank you, that's super helpful! Yeah, I am mostly just wondering how much backup jewellery i'll need if any. I'm sure I have 8g plugs somewhere from stretching the first septum if I need to so am probably just overthinking it. I'll see how it goes.

(Edit: OR, you can just keep pushing rings through until you can't fit any more lol) i know this is a more than a year old post i'm quoting here, and i post in this thread WAYYY too much. but i have been referring back to Hailfall and fast427's discussion on stacking since i started stacking my own late? late last year. i loved this advice! i had 7 18g rings in my septum and woke up the next day feeling like a truck had hit me lol. i carefully took them all out, wore a plug for a couple weeks until it all settled down. finally got an earskin in so, stack is only 2 rings atm but feeling so much better. i don't have a goal size in mind, but i'm excited to see how big i can safely get it! and i said i'd never stretch my septum

I don't know if my septum just decided it hated the steel plug I had in it, but it completely freaked out last night and was so painful I had to remove it. It wasn't just denting pain. When I tried to lie on my right side in bed it switched to stabbing pain. I have no idea what was going on. Back to 4g forever. ^ This was what happened the last time I tried to stretch my septum to 2g a couple of years back. Gave it another shot a couple of weeks back and didn't have the same issue or any denting pain. It felt comfortable enough to try an earskin so we'll see how it goes. I only have two 2g earskins - my usual 1/4" and one 5/16". The 1/4" isn't working for me at this size, but at least I don't have to hope BAF still has 1/4" in stock when I need replacements.

i got pretty bored with my stack a few months ago, so i took all 5 rings out for a deep clean. also took out the earskin and for shits and giggles tried my 3g plug. it fit, but i really didn’t want to go without a visible septum. my cheapo titanium rings ended up all looking dull, no shine at all anymore. so instead of replacing them, i’m wearing a 10g and 12g stacked through an earskin. the 10g is cobalt chrome and the 12g is steel, but it’s in the back because the diameter is bigger
