Took advantage of BAF's Black Friday sale. Got myself one of those clickers that looks like a CBR for my septum, Anatometal steel eyelets for my helixes and lobes (already have a pair for my conches), green aventurine for all the ear holes, and a pair of black Gorilla Glass nosebones. w00t

I can't decide what to do! I want a pair of quetzalli's raven spell plugs. I prefer the look of the 0g ones but the flares are too big for me. BAF has a pair of the 2g ones in stock. But I emailed quetzalli on the 17th about making me a pair. I haven't heard back from them. The last time I dealt with them directly it took me a good week to hear back and the whole process was super slow. Although I loved the results. I don't mind paying full price for a pair that's exactly what I want. But if I'm going to end up with a 2g pair I'd like to buy them during the 30% off sale. Should I wait and see if quetzalli gets back to me? Has anyone had any dealing with them more recently than '13? If so, how did it go? Quoting myself because new page. They finally emailed me back and they can do the raven's spell plugs as a single flare. So that worked out even better than I'd hoped.

I think I'm finally going to buy green titanium for my ears. I mainly wear high polish with sterling or copper titanium with random studs because they're natural metal colors. But green is my favorite color, and I'd love to just be decked out in it. I never see people in real life wearing colorful titanium, but I've decided green can never be tacky because it is such an excellent color.

Because paying duty sucks I didn't go nuts with my BAF order, although I may still put in another order tomorrow. So today I ordered a couple pair of 2g ear skins because my ears are being stupid and want to be 2g, a pair of mini crown weights in 6g, and a pair of brass Surya weights in 12g. I know that neither pair of weights are to everybody's taste, but I think they're cute. And if I end up hating them, at least I didn't blow a ton of money on them. And there are some brass and stone flower/mandala weights I'm eyeballing...and may have sent links of to the kid with serious hints of them being awesome Christmas gifts.

As a tradition of every new goal size (but I only had 3 goal sizes), I took advantage of the 30% off at BAF and ordered the Industrial Strength's steel single flare eyelets at 28mm. YES. They have been my favorite jewelry for almost 2 years, and I must say one of the reasons I'm going up to 28mm and not 1'' as I planned to, is because BAF won't carry them at a long enough wearable length for 1'', and I can't give up on them.

I'm gonna buy my first ever pair of Luciferins! Red on Cobalt. Using up my BAF credit. Makes them ~$42.

Got a neometal conversion labret and matte disc yesterday! Can't quite work out whether 1/4 is too snug for my lip, or I'm just sore from wearing a cheap labret with sharp edges.
The end is so tiny! The coppery-pink is obviously not a match to my skin tone, but would work as a mole or freckle if my employer hadn't already told me to keep jewellery as discreet as possible, like how I was hiding it before. So on with the nail polish it is! It will be way lower profile though, might even pretty much vanish

Here's a question for clever people: gluing stone hangies back together. What's the best thing to use/method? Has anyone done it successfully longterm? My Abaraka tiger eye half diamonds' hooks snapped - it's a clean break and they're gorgeous so I'd love to restore them. Worst case I'll have the diamond parts cast into weights but if I can salvage them as is that would be awesome.

E6000 adhesive. Use a big glob of it (don't worry if it squeezes out, it makes the bond stronger), stick the pieces together, then wrap masking tape or painters tape around the break to hold it in place while it dries. Leave it for a couple days, then when you peel off the tape, it takes the squeeze out with it.

I also recommend E6000. But be sparing with it so you don't get it outside of the area you wish to bond i.e. fingers etc as it is sticky stuff ha ha
