Your work is beautiful! I'm seriously in lust with that Claws of Brokkr necklace. Oops, just saw this! Thank you!! I'm on an eternal Labradorite kick: Having a hard time not keeping this one for myself the cut of Lab is so good. But gloves at work make rings so impractical D:

Finally started making things again! I finished this hair stick a few days ago that has a huge amethyst point on it, and I'm working on another right now with a quartz druzy. Been trying to come up with ideas for more things I can make that aren't straight up jewelry, since I don't really wear any. I think I'll tinker with brooches next.

Heh, I keep finding myself holding it like a dagger when I sit at my desk since it has a really nice weight to it. I should just market it as a pixie bludgeon.

I saw this pop up on my Insta feed some days ago and immediately started calculating if I could get it into my hair. I do have quite a few hair sticks, although they are more cosmetic than functional now. I used to need them to hold buns in place, but now that my locks are mature, they tend to stay where I put them without mechanical assistance. I still like wearing them sometimes though. Petra, I just saw you've posted another one with a quartz top and a smoother shaft... the amethyst one would have been too difficult for a dreadbun with all those ridges, I think, but the quartz one is very, very tempting.

Feedback on the hairsticks is super helpful! The two I've done now were mostly experiments to make sure keratin holds up to the process, so I definitely want to explore that some more now that I've got it down. Next time I'm at the oddity shop, I'll see if I can find horns of some kind that are slimmer/smoother too. Latest things I've made are these Lab pieces. I've got a bunch of really flashy cabs I've been trying to use up: And now, I'm working on lapel pins! I was gifted 1200 karats of really teeny adorable quartz clusters. Gonna carve them into manageable lil baby flat backs today then maybe sculpt some details around them. Trying to offer more small pieces in the lower price spectrum as the holidays approach

petra, talk to me on pricing for a sculptural rhinoceros beetle with a hunk of labradorite as his back, if you're willing. the first photo above made me think of it. i don't promise a purchase, but i'd love an excuse to throw money at your work. feel free to PM or text or email or ignore, as you prefer. :)
