So last Sunday (4/23) I had my second session of laser tattoo removal. The first session was only on the heart on my sternum; this time I got brave and we hit NINE total. http://instagram.com/p/BThJ24WFg1G

First images are my wrists. Snowflake was my first tattoo ever (December, 2008) and bee was later (December, 2010). I loved the bee, hated the snowflake, but also hated having to wear long sleeves all summer to cover my wrists, so it was time for them to go. I'm hoping for full removal of these.
Second images are also my wrists, from September, 2013. Same long sleeve problem as above, but they were also not done well and I did not love them. Full removal sought.
Third images are the back of my upper arms, like above my elbows. They were done in 2014 on a whim. Done poorly, no love. Full removal sought.
Fourth image is my sternum. This was the only tattoo that was being lasered for the second time; first session was more than a year ago. This was done in 2011 when I was in sort of crisis mode, and it never looked good. It was always wonky and I hated that I had that reminder of a bad time on me. I do eventually want another tattoo in this location, but not the same shape, so I'm hoping for as close to full removal as possible.
Fifth image is the back of my calves, specifically the birds. These were kind of blotchy to begin with, and don't fit exactly with the style I'm looking for for my legs. I want to cover these up with different birds, so I'm just trying to lighten them enough for that.

I'm only seeing the bee and the snowflake?
ETA: Oh duh, have to click through. Ignore me.

I don't really know the timeline for noticeable results. At a week, I am noticing a ton of black breaking up, especially in the bee, heart and text. The birds are a little more stubborn but they're more solid so I guess that's to be expected. Supposedly, over the next 6 weeks or so, it will continue to break up. With the last session I had on the heart, I did notice gradual fading over the year in between sessions, but it's really a zap ... wait ... zap ... wait process.

Hi! I'm bad at updating!
I recently had a third/second/first laser session. We hit the same tattoos as last time with the addition of my inner arm cacti.
Similar experience with the others, but MAN my inner arms SUCKED. They bruised and blistered and hurt so badly. Ill update with photos post removal at some point but the first two weeks was atrocious.

Not a great update, but having had 4 laser sessions on my sternum my tattoo artist estimates we can execute the design I want in it's place after 1 (maybe 2) more sessions!

Another update! Yesterday I had session 5 on my sternum, session 4 on my wrists, calves and back of arms, and session 3 on my inner arms. I was hit with the other laser, the Picosure, because the laser (the Qsure, I believe) they usually use for black ink was acting up. Differences between the 2: Picosure hits a smaller surface area, so it takes longer to complete. That said, it is slightly less painful. The biggest difference between this time and the last though is the blistering. I got little blisters before, but this time it's way worse. I'm not sure if it was the different laser or the higher energy, but I'm blistering like a mofo. Under a spoiler cut is what happened on my sternum last night. It's super gross, so really don't click unless you need to see.

Wow! That is one impressive blister!

I had session 7 today! Session 6 was super easy and uneventful (like, didn't hurt that badly, no blisters, no itching) so I wasn't worried about this one at all.
I was wrong. The higher the energy from the laser goes, the way worse it hurts. I actually almost tapped out before hitting all 11 I'm having zapped.
I made it through, but I'm so not looking forward to the next 3-5 sessions until I'm done with this batch.

Go Tattoo Removal shared a photo of my bee after 5 sessions. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bxxbxv0FG45 I've had 7 total sessions now. I did get some bad news though. It was recommended that I space my sessions out more now, so I'll probably only be able to fit in one more session this year. That said, I can probably start pursuing a cover up on my sternum and possibly on my calves.

I think I've only had 2 sessions since I last posted about getting zapped, BUT, today I hit a milestone!
One of the tattoos is, like, almost gone. So gone that we didn't hit it today, and might not have to in the future. Success!
