Just something I've always wondered...what kind of differences can you expect in, say $6/pair stone plugs versus $25/pair stone plugs? Obviously there's going to be a huge price difference between something like synthetic turquoise and genuine, but I wonder if it's worth it to make a larger investment in some of my favorite stones. Specifically, I'm wondering about these two listings: Diablo Single Flares vs Oracle Single Flares. I've always bought Diablo single and double flares because they're super affordable and their double flares are consistently extremely gentle. I really have had no complaints so far. Besides Oracle offering more options, is there any actual difference in quality? Are they better matched, smoother finishes, etc?

I find with cheaper SF stone the front face tends to be larger, and the wearable longer. With DF on cheaper stone plugs, the flares tend to be comically huge and almost unwearable. I'm sure there is difference in stone quality of the actual stone too. I have a pair of cheap SF tigers eye and I wear on camping trips, cause then if I loose one i'm not broken up about it.
