I got my septum pierced about 7 days ago, and I went to a piercer that I’ve been to before. Shop is clean and everything. I told him I wanted it pierced as high up as possible in the sweet spot and he somehow still managed to pierce it all the way at the bottom so the whole horseshoe hangs out of my nose.
Its been fine with sea salt soaks twice a day but I have bumped it 4-5 times since its been pierced. The most recent bump from this morning when my boyfriend bumped his head to my face. It hurt like hell but I got up and cleaned it and it seemed fine. A few hours later my nose was stinging really bad and when I got up to check, the right side of the bar looked like it was pushed further down , or almost in the cartilage at the bottom of my nose, and it was oozing, red and tender.
I messaged the piercer which he ignored, and I don’t know wether to take it out, leave it alone and keep cleaning it, or to flip it up or something. I’m new to this forum so idk if its okay to post a link to a pic or anything but if you can help please let me know.

If its in the cartilage and low, and you wanted it in the sweet spot and high, you might as well just take it out. If it wasn't to your liking the piercer should have taken it out and repierced it for you while you were in the shop. If its only a week old it should heal fast, and you should have a better time next go-around. Septum piercings are generally very low-pain when done properly.
If the jewellery is externally threaded and low polished then definitely find a new piercer up to date with industry standards. Its not enough for a shop to just be clean, the majority of piercers out there are working on information that's 20 years out of date and don't care enough about their clients to update their knowledge. Look for APP members or people using brands like Anatometal, Neometal, Industrial Strength etc

Pics would definitely help, but I agree that if you don't like the placement there isn't really anything that can be done about that other than taking it out and trying again.

Here are links to the pictures. ibb.co/mT1B8xpibb.co/82y6CXn ibb.co/4pMzdWD It wasn’t pierced at that area, it just seems like I tore the septum skin and its hanging down farther or something. I’m attempting to leave it alone as much as I can to see if it will heal itself but I’m worried its going to scar my nose cartilage or rip out.

That's in completely the wrong spot. You're best just taking it out and letting it heal, and getting repierced somewhere else.

This is exactly how my septum was pierced the first time by someone rushed and inexperienced. Definitely take it out and have it redone elsewhere, you'll be much happier. When it's done correctly it's a relatively painless and quick healing piercing.
