Hello, I have a vitiligo spot on my hand about 0,5 x 0,5 cm. I would like to get it darker in color to match my skin and I've been trying things like applying apple cider, scratching the skin and even burning it with a hot needle. None seem to make it darker, it's still white. So my question is if you know anything I could do at home? Not interested in going to a tattoo, would like to do it by my self. Thank you.

There isn't anything that is going to change the color of your skin. Please stop hurting yourself over it, that won't do anything. You can use makeup to cover it but depending on where it is on your body that might not be a great option. Besides getting a tattoo from a qualified tattoo artist there isn't really anything you can do, especially by yourself at home.

If you can put lemon on a scar to lighten it I thought maybe there is something that does the opposite and darkens the skin? 🙂

If you can put lemon on a scar to lighten it I thought maybe there is something that does the opposite and darkens the skin? 🙂 Unfortunately that's not how it works. Your skin is lacking pigment, you cannot produce melanin where there is none. Even if you scar the area it won't look darker or match your skin tone. I can tell this really bothers you, it may be worth asking a Dr for advice but honestly there is no cure for vitiligo. MY biggest piece of advice would be to work on accepting it. Vitiligo isn't weird or ugly, it's unique! There is a model named Winnie Harlow that gets jobs because of her vitiligo. It's easy for me to say "don't worry about it" because I'm not you but I really think that's kind of all you can do.

I suppose another option would be to use self-tanning lotion on the spot, but it may not match the rest of your skin. At this point, your best best would be to obtain concealer that matches the rest of your skin to help cover the vitiligo spot if it bothers you that much.
