Hello everybody, I need advice. I have had my ears gaged for many years now and decided it's time for change and want to take them out. One hole is 14mm, other 10mm and other is 6mm. I've read that using smaller and smaller plugs gradually can help to shrink the holes but I honestly can't be arsed with that. So I thought about fake plugs. The ones which looks like plugs but inside is only thin earing like thingy, it would look like I still have plugs, so that I wouldn't have to walk with 3 holes in ears but because of it being "hollow" inside, it would allow for it to shrink right?? Has anybody got any experience with this? Any advice or tips would be highly appreciated. Thank you 😏

The best way to get your holes to shrink it to not wear anything in them. Wearing smaller earrings in a larger hole means you will end up losing your jewelry.

How long did it take you to shrink? That's s what I mean, if I'd use those fake plugs which on outside are bigger than the hole but inside like earring it shouldn't fall out but it should allow it to grow back rigt? 🤔

If you do wear something in your lobes anyway, don't wear it while you sleep at all. Easy to get tangled up and bend your lobes in weird ways. Best thing to do would just be to take your jewelry out and not wear anything at all in them. how long it takes your lobes to shrink depends on too many things to really suggest a time frame, but I think most people would experience any shrinking that will happen over a couple weeks. though they'll likely continue to shrink for months after as long as you don't wear jewelry. They'll stop at a certain point, but that varies a lot person to person.

I suppose you are right about it getting tangled and dangling, which would probably look even more awkward than just not wearing anything. Alright, that's good then, hopefully the smaller ones will shrink in few weeks. I've read that massaging earlobes with some kind of oil can also help, so I look more into that as well. Thank you for your advice, I appreciate that 🙂
