I use cinema secrets, a brush cleaning tin with emery is essentially a giant stippling sponge, and random brush shampoos/sprays. Cinema secrets is great except for the smell and it can be harsh overtime, but damn if it doesn't remove stains and formulas regular cleaning doesn't.

Do you guys have any suggestions on youtube videos for help with hooded eyes? I am browsing around but can't find anything that doesn't look like a crazy smoky eye. I like to keep it pretty minimal day to day.

I like to keep it pretty minimal day to day. I like Karima McKimmie. She's Australian and has slightly hooded eyes, but they definitely look less hooded than mine. She does both neutral and bold looks. Stephanie Lange also has some hooded eye videos and wears some neutral looks. If I think of more, I'll def add more, but most people I watch either aren't hooded or do crazy looks!

missmai27 has some good videos on basic looks and general rules you should follow if you have hooded eyes. I'm sure she has some more in depth tutorials too but I haven't watched her channel in forever.

Videos with general rules are kinda what I am looking for. I'd really like to learn how to figure out how to do a look on my own. If that makes sense.

Guys! So I want to start wearing more lip product. I keep hearing Kat Von D's is the best staying power/kissproof - can anyone vouch? She has a bunch of off-reds I really like.

Out of all my liquid lipsticks I'm not sure KVD is the longest wearing but it is the best wearing. Most of my other ones do weird things like peel off in chunks and o have to completely take them off before reapplying (or else it cakes and clumps up). With KVD it sort of fades off and I can just throw on another layer to fix what wore off. It's like a liquid based paint vs acrylic, if that makes any sense. KVD is what I keep going back to.

So I got my eyebrows done yesterday and the girl also used a brush + powder to fill in the gaps as to speak but i kinda forgot to ask what she used. What would you guys suggest to use, I rarely use make up but I liked that they looked a bit fuller and more even. I can try to post a picture later of how it looked after.

I use a coloured brow gel and it takes me only a few seconds. I don't know what you have available to you but I use Australis brow gel in brown - it's great for if you want something really really quick and easy but with a good effect. Something similar might work for you if you're into lowkey/not a usual makeup wearer. Stuff like this:

I like KVD for the feel, Colourpop last a while (liquid mattes and lippie sticks- the satins wear off easily), LA Splash are good and I have a ton, but some shades will flake off in giant chunks... Stila, Tarte, Too Faced ones stay kind of wet and smear a lot on me.

Thanks guy So right now I am looking at the naked2 basics palette to get started. It seems to have colors I think I can work with and is cheaper than a full one. I picked up some It brushes from ULTA but the shadow liner one still feels kinda too fluffy and not dense enough but that could be me being inexperienced. Do any of you recommend a brush? Real Techniques are my favorite brushes I also have some Morphe but since they just private label Crown brushes I'm not nuts about them, but they are entirely good brushes as well. I have the blue set. What do you guys use to wash your brushes? I've been able to get away with using baby shampoo for the majority of them and Beauty Blender solid cleanser for the ones that have cream products on them, but I'm almost out of the solid cleanser and don't necessarily want to repurchase if there's something better out there. I use a vegan brush-cleaning soap with lemon scent that I love Looks like this but instead of "goats milk" it's with olive oil listed on the package.

For brushes in general, my faves are Real Techniques, Eco Tools, and Elf. They're all recently affordable and synthetic! I prefer not to buy animal hair brushes, if I can help it.
To clean them, I use the Cinema Secrets cleaner, but it definitely is a STRONG scent. Like vanilla scented rubbing alcohol. I honestly don't WASH my brushes that frequently, but when I do, I use baby shampoo. For my Real Techniques sponge, I just use whatever hand soap I have on my counter at the time.
Re: liquid lipstick. I do love the KVD formula, but the one dark shade I have, Damned, is quite patchy and hard to get opaque without a liner. That's pretty typical for dark colors, though. The others I have perform better.
I personally don't like the ColourPop ultra mattes at all because they're way too drying. My lips hate being dry, so that's why I prefer the ultra satin. On me, they stay on pretty well, but do wear off from eating.
