chantrierimoon , you should make an artist thread! I'd love to see what you're working on on a regular basis! If you want to, that is. I was waiting to reach 100 posts, fair n square. I post works in progress on my Instagram story constantly too though!

I post works in progress on my Instagram story constantly too though! I follow you on IG! I wish things were in chronological order on my feed though. But I totally spaced on the post requirement. Can't wait until you make it though! I feel like I finally found my calling with jewelry making, and seeing your work only confirms it for me bc I think "oh man, I'd love to learn that technique" or "oh! I know the patina she used!" And it makes me feel so good. I told my metals and jewelry teacher that is she gets someone in to teach us how to use the lapidary equipment that I will major in it. I want to learn to cut my own stones so badly.

I FINALLY made a counseling appointment to start working on my issues. I have been putting it off for years, and my mental health is suffering. I hate making phone calls and I want to run from my problems, but I finally am taking the steps to better myself and I could not be happier. I am really hopeful, and I haven't felt this way in a long time.

Yay for them :D one of my newhires, during his interview, mentioned that he has "a son & a ...we're not sure right now *smile*". BIG points. he smiled again when i gave the noobs the grand tour & my "welcome to our culture" speech that talks about diversity in the department and how we have about 60% non-straight people & some transgendered employees & so forth. it's the little things.

Like baby's first binder day is my fav, even more so when they have parents that support them.

We let people try on the binder too which is good cause the sizing on those things are so wonky. Between 3 different styles I fit 3 different sizes -_- But yeah I know we are the only place in my province that sells them in store,

I have actually been in one sex shop which has sold binders, come to think of it. But from what you said about family members I somehow doubted that it'd be a sex store. Makes so much difference to be able to try them on though, it should be much more widely offered.

My boss told me they're going to set me up on commission because I help process sales orders all the fricken time. Or even the receptionist will start one and then phone me to price everything because she doesn't understand how (majority of parts don't have a specific price set up for selling).
I don't know how they'll do it or what they'll base it off, because often there will be sales orders started and then I do the invoicing or the other way around so it's two people doing them.
But any tiny amount (or huge) is welcome. It'll probably just be a few dollars extra but it's still going in the right direction.

Luckily the pride center will bring kids in too so there is a bit of a work around.

respected his kid's gender questioning even when there was no reasonable chance the kid would ever find out This may not apply in your area, but around here there's a decent chance that saying something like that in an interview would hurt your chances of getting the job. That surpasses "good dad" territory and plants him firmly in "brave and honorable person" land. I don't want to jinx it, but my state is restructuring their employee pay grades with a specific eye towards getting some long neglected IT positions closer to market rate. The new scale hasn't officially passed yet, but if it does my husband will get a ~40% raise this summer. Not only will we be able to pay down some his student loan and medical debt, but I could seriously look at finishing my degree.
