Yes! As lish said, Biotin! I am on it now and have been for a few months. It hasn't completely fixed the issues with my nails, but has definitely improved the situation. My nails will actually grow out to a decent length now; the problem I face at this point is breaking. But, that can also be a result of bad thyroid which I'm under treatment for. I'm considering going to wearing acrylics again. you're hypo I take it? I just did blood work yesterday and mine is all out of wack again. I have also been leaving them go longer in between as well. I used to be able to get away with just shellac but about a year ago they just turned incredibly thin and would rip constantly. I switched to biogel to help protect them.

I have to have labs done roughly every 6-9 weeks to check on mine. I've tried nail hardeners which once removed don't seem to do anything for me. My nails oddly enough seem to be strong only when I wear acrylics. Is the biogel helping at all?

I used biogel and shellac together for strength. I haven't tried going bare since the switch but it's definitely better. I go every 6 weeks. I was actually smart when I got all the paperwork The last time I saw The doctor and wrote down on a calendar every 6 weeks when I need to go. The last blood test I didn't go to my usual lab so I'm not sure what the readings were but the one I did yesterday I was at the normal lab and it's flagged when I check online.

One of my claws broke badly enough that I had to chop the rest of them off Polish is almost a week old so it's jacked up, but I feel like short nails make my fingers look stumpy.

I picked up a bottle of biotin tablets today - 100 tablets, 1000mcg each. I am definitely going to give this a whirl and hope for the best. It's not all that expensive here, thankfully.

This is Moose by Nine Zero Lacquer. It started peeling within 5 hours of putting it on, but I love the color so much more than I thought I would. (Click for larger image)

Brown holos are so pretty! I'm currently wearing Captain Blue Sky by Il Etait Un Vernis. It has quickly rose to top five of my favorite brands! I decided to chop my nails off again and this color is actually super flattering on nubs imo And excuse the wound on my finger, I always manage to hurt meself. I didn't manage to catch a good sparkly picture but this one's quite helpful:

That polish you're wearing is to DIE for, I'm such a sucker for those bright blues

Yees! I've been looking for that kind of blue a long time I have quite many blue polishes but they are mostly turquoise or various shades of lighter blue!

That blue is so pretty Nossie, I love the glitter in it! I glitterbombed my nails. Zoya Arlo pixiedust, I took an out of focus picture so that the rainbows would show better.

My right index fingernail is always trying to play me by breaking. Almost all of my other nails have gotten used to staying straight-across/squoval-ish, but this ONE nail doesn't want to stay that way. I don't want to give up on it, though. I really don't like the rounder nails on my hands, so I guess I may have to accept that this one nail just loves breaking because it's curved weird compared to the others. :/

I think tomorrow or Saturday I'm going to get a set of acrylics done. I don't know what color(s) i'm going to do yet though.

That blue is so pretty Nossie, I love the glitter in it! Yeesh, I do too! It's visible even in weaker lighting which is a big plus I had some cute splattered studs laying around that I felt like trying out the other day! I feel like a close-up photo isn't super flattering but IRL it's cute. The base is Wicked by Essie, which has this nice jelly-look to it but still covers in two coats! I'll post a pic of Vampire by Picture Polish at the end as well if anyone's interested in comparing the two... Vampire needs about four coats to even out though, that's a pretty thin polish but ends up looking fab regardless.
