The one downside of my Paraguard is that it gives me really intense cramps every so often. It sucks.

I was an idiot and scheduled my iud insertion for the morning of the day I go to a concert. I have to reschedule it now. I feel like a dummy that I forgot about it.

My insurance is expiring (fuck you Aetna) so I have to find a new gyno (again and new insurance) and I'm going to try and find one this time around that will seriously discuss sterilization. I'm almost 30, so it should be doable. Maybe. Fingers crossed.

Conn, have you checked out Childfree on Reddit? They have a document that lists doctors by state/city that are open to sterilising terrible women who haven't fulfilled their duty to society.

At last count there's less than a handful in Houston and 1) most use essure; I want a tubal; 2) most wouldnt do it on someone "so young." The one doctor they specifically on r/childless list being cool with the age thing I couldn't even get a call back about an appointment after multiple (probably a dozen) attempts.

Careful now- if any of us visit that site they'll use it against us in trial when we leave our kids in a hot car... In other news- my period started unexpectedly this week. It was a week late last month so I wasnt really expecting it to be (what would have been) on time this month. Thanks body!

I'm glad you got your appointment changed!
My boobs have started getting huge and ungainly like a week before my period. It's weird and I'm not used to it.

I keep having weird sex dreams when it's Lady Week. The other night it was a fellow (female) BAFer, the next night it was Jareth the Goblin King (not complaining about that one, I think it's the codpiece). Very vivid and... confusing.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who's had a sex dream about a BAFer

Does anyone have experience of being on the pill long term (combined 5~ years, mini for 2~ years) and then stopping hormonal birth control? What changed that you maybe didn't realise was even a side effect?
Reason being my friend who's had 2 children (1 is 2.5 yrs, other is 8~ months) got the implant a few months ago and she's complaining about a host of side effects, including being really depressed, so I guess I'm hoping there's a magical ~stop giving your body hormones ur not a cow no wonder ur depressed~ thing?

I was on the pill for around 5 years I think. I came off it completely and didn't switch to anything else until I got my tubal, obvs. The dark patches around my mouth faded, my periods became a little irregular. The pill destroyed my sex drive and I mostly got that back after coming off it. That was about it for me. My mood swings aren't quite as bad.
