I had my consultation for my IUD but they didn't do an examination? I'm confused. I do have my insertion scheduled though so there's that. Has anyone else had that happen? I really expected an exam

I don't think I had an examination before getting my insertion appointment.

I had my consultation for my IUD but they didn't do an examination? I'm confused. I do have my insertion scheduled though so there's that. Has anyone else had that happen? I really expected an exam I didn't either. I also expected one. Since they wanted me on my period for insertion, I finally started bleeding yesterday. I woke up at 5am from cramps so bad I wanted to puke. Can't fucking wait for no periods.

i'm preeetty sure that when i went in for my first IUD appointment the doctor just chatted with me (read: tried to talk me out of it).
there was a measurement taken at some point but iirc that was during the same appt as the insertion...

Except expelling your IUD Chrissy. Oh my god that sucks Yup. I messaged Ann on FB since ik she's expelled them. There are multiple possibilities as to why I am expelling it, too early during period, my uterus is tilted, possibly placed incorrectly. I think it's funny that my cramps are better than they were before insertion though. I have an appointment next Wednesday to get an ultrasound and possibly a reinsertion.

Does anyone have suggestions on water based lube? I found out today, at a very unfortunate time, that mine is all out and I'm looking to try something new. I've tried a few kinds from Trojan, any other suggestions?

Does anyone have suggestions on water based lube? Look for Sliquid. This is the one I've got and it's great, but I'd guess the other varieties are nice too. Edit: Actually, that's the same name of the one I've got, but it looks like it's a different formula. Nonetheless, I'd still recommend the brand. Just find the variety you'd like

I was doing fine for having an Iud stuck in my cervix. The bleeding was starting to slow down like it normally does. Then I decided to go half lay half sit on my bed. Leaning left I felt the iud and I'm bleeding like a normal heavy flow again. Do you guys think I should be concerned about this? It's been going on for a couple of hours now.

It's probably your cervix reacting to the iud. I know when one of mine shifted down the stem was in my cervix causing a lot of. Keeping and a giant clot to form because of not super vigorous sex. Does it hurt? If you're still bleeding heavily later tonight or tomorrow I would go have someone remove it... unless it's low enough that you could just slip it out- the one my cup pulled out came out enough that a gentle tug on the string was enough to finish the job.

I've tried almost all the kinds (of Sliquid) available. I like them a lot.

I *think* I feel an arm making an indent, so to speak, where it's sitting. Mainly discomfort with very occasional twinges. Bleeding is starting to let up again so I mush have just shifted it or something.
