I like using Chagrin Valley Soap and Salve's pumpkin seed facial oil, but I don't really think it does anything for my level of oiliness. I'm not super committed to doing it daily, though, so maybe that's a factor.
I use a few dots on my face and pat it in after a shower or washing my face, after toning. I'm still greasy hours later, either way.

I'm curious if anyone here uses natural oils for their oily acne prone skin? What's the best oils you've had experience with? I used neem oil with some olive oil for years. It was the only thing that helped with dime sized painful zits. I think it helped somewhat with my oilness too. I used this specific one- www.mountainroseherbs.com/products/neem-oil/profile Until my skin changed radically about a year ago, it was amazing and really helped. ETA: It does smell like an everything bagel though so the smell can be a bit much for people.

I went and bought the coffee scrub from lush the other day. I`ve never used it but I figure it would be nice to have on hand after camping trips. I used it as a mask last night and my face feels so soft today.

i have a friend w/ that skin type who likes the burt's bees cleansing oil You mean like using it with the oil cleansing method? I'm really not a fan of that method but am curious to see if anyone here use it. Well I just want to find the perfect oil that I can use it daily to moisturize my face without it to clog my pores. I've used almost any oil on the list and everything clogged my pores eventually.
Grapeseed oil is what I've used recently and it's really light and fast absorbing and it did wonders to my face for the first weeks but it doesn't do good anymore. I haven't tried neem oil (I actually wanted to buy it the other day but it was pricy) but I might!

I actually meant using it after shower, when my skin feels quite dry afterwards. I shower at night anyways and I don't use any moisturizer because I don't have to, I live in a very humid area also, lol. I don't actually mind the smell though so I will sure try it!

I’ve started oil cleansing, and so far I’ve had zero breakouts or bad reactions. My oily skin is so soft and smooth all the time. I’ve only been doing it for a few days so time will tell. I’m doing a castor oil/vitamin E mix for now and also using castor oil on my lashes and brows twice a day to see if my hairs will grow in fuller. I’ll report back if anybody’s curious about the OCM and how it works over time!

My sources are 100% anecdotal! I have it on hand so I figured, why not? If nothing happens growth-wise (likely), I’ll have the softest damn lashes and brows in the land ^_^

Hope it's ok to bring this thread back but this is the best place for my question. So my sister wants a facial cleansing brush thing for her birthday (the 21st) and I have no clue where to start. She's going off to college next fall so something that will be easy to charge and get replacement heads (if available) would probably work best. My budget is $20-30 probably. Any suggestions?

Do you mean your entire budget is $20-30 (as in the brush itself plus any refills)? If that's the case, then I'd recommend a cleansing brush like the Eco Tools manual one (looks similar to Clarisonic, but you have to move it around on your face and it doesn't vibrate). Konjac sponges are also great for more sensitive skin. Eco Tools has two different ones that I know of and I've seen other brands do them. I just really like Eco Tools lol. If you mean that you'd buy something like a Clarisonic and then need recommendation for a brush head refill? I do have a Clarisonic I bought years ago that still works, so I can say that at least mine has lasted me years without dying. The battery life doesn't last as long, but I still only charge it once every two months, I'd say. I had these dupes from Amazon for brush heads, but maybe the brand got a cease and desist from Clarisonic because it's no longer available. :/ There are definitely others out there that are cheaper than Clarisonic and Foreo (that silicone one that's at Sephora and online). I switched to buying cruelty free/vegan things long after buying my Clarisonic, so I'm really just using it until it dies and then I'll be buying probably the Eco Tools cleaning brushes. As far as cleansers go, I'm not sure if your sister already has a favorite cleanser, but I've been using/enjoying the CeraVe foaming cleanser for oily skin. It's nice and neutral and not heavily scented.

Thanks for the suggestions you two! I will have to look into those and go from there.

I decided that a new year's resolution of mine is going to be having better skin. I've already started working on my diet and water intake.
I got a sample of Caudalíe serum and moisturizer as my birthday gift from Sephora. I hardly ever like samples, but this stuff is so good I went and ordered full sizes of the vino perfect serum and moisturizing sorbet like a week after I started using the samples. The serum I ordered is also a part of a gift set, so for the same price as the serum alone I get a mini bottle of essence and night moisturizer for free!
It's also been like two years since I've used my clarisonic. I'm going to go dig it out of my storage unit and get a new brush head I think.

Has anyone here tried glossier? I was really exited about them but i bought a few things and im really disappointed :/ I ordered boybrow, which is really good but kinda sad they dont have an option for gingers/redheads. I got blonde which works but id prefer something that emphasised my haircolour more. I got the lipgloss, which is nice in that its moisturising and isnt gritty or anything, but its still just as sticky as most glosses. And i got milky jelly cleaner which is the main issue. I wanted to love it so bad because it goes on so nicely and smells really good and stuff and it says hypoallergenic on the website, but ive had an allergic reaction to it so i cant use it anymore I really like glossiers "look" and the idea behind their skincare and haircare, but im hesitant to try more now cause i dont want any more rashes on my face. Has anyone got recommendations on what to get/not get? Or does anyone know of a good moisturising/conditioning cleanser that doesnt completely strip your face? Thats what i wanted milky jelly cleanser for so Btw didnt know whether to post this in makeup or skincare, i went with skincare since i guess thats my main concern, sorry if that was the wrong choice
