I'm on book 3 of Game of Thrones and it's awesome, like I expected. It's not taking as long as I thought which is nice, it reads pretty quickly.

Just finished the new WTNV book, It Devours (thanks advance reader copy!).
Some parts seemed really forced and unnecessary, but maybe they'll get toned down or edited before the final printing. Overall, really good though.

Currently reading "We need to talk about Kevin." At first it was hard to get into, but it's getting easier to read.
Also, before that I read "Only ever yours." Omg that book was amazing. It was infuriating but amazing.

Currently reading "We need to talk about Kevin." At first it was hard to get into, but it's getting easier to read. Oooh I didn't know this was a book! I saw the movie on Netflix and loved it, so maybe I'll have to check that out!

I had no idea it was a movie until the book said "now a major motion picture" (on a huge pink sticker) and I was like "OH." I NEED to watch it. Hopefully it's still on Netflix because I really want to watch it when I'm finished.

I'm reading Cat Marnell's How to Murder Your Life and it's so good. It's such a messy, manic book. It actually makes me feel itchy to read it. This summer I also read the brilliant Black Wave another book, although only semi-autobiographical, about writing and doing a lot of drugs. They're both such different books about being a female drug addict who writes for a living.

i'm reading oyasumi punpun again because i hate myself. i just read solanin for the first time & it was nice, but completely broke my heart. i recently finished the miss peregrine books after we watched the movie at a friend's house, they were actually pretty good. i'm also reading smoke gets in your eyes, and waiting for new issues of monstress to come out after picking it up in seattle. my reading list has been all over the place.

I had pre-ordered the last book of the Broken Earth trilogy and it finally arrived a few days ago! I've already finished it, and it was even better than I expected.

I adore Connie Willis. Especially dark, manic Connie Willis. Blackout and All Clear were both really enjoyable. Did you read the other books in the Oxford Time Travel series? Doomsday Book was brilliant. But To Say Nothing of the Dog was a massive let down it's cheerful lovey dovey Connie Willis and I just can't with that. The Passage is my favorite book by her but it never gets any love. Have you read the Chronically St Mary's time travel books? They have a similar feel to the Oxford Time Travel books, but with more of a comedy angle. I'm currently reading How Risky is it, Really? about the way we make decisions and perceive risk. For a book that mentions the amygdala a lot it's fairly readable.
