What’s growin on?
I’m attempting a pretty good sized herb garden this year. I already have tiny basil and chamomile seedlings 3 days after planting! I bought some more herbs to start as well, and some pea seeds. I can’t wait until I can start growing sunflowers though!!!
I have a lucky bamboo that is doing really well too, and a little succulent pot. I just want plants and fish everywhere man.

Starting April 15 I will be setting up and helping run the garden centre at my work . You'd think I'd be fine with enjoying all the plants there but no, I take most of them home too. (it's good i don't work at a maternity ward or the humane society) This year I will plant a ton of veggie seeds and hope for a decent harvest. As usual I will have morning glories, nasturtiums, portulaca, marigolds, and delicious smelling allysum in my fence boxes and hanging baskets. A couple of planters with thyme and basil ready for plucking. A valiant attempt at self seeding wildflowers in my front garden which normally only hosts these weird big leafy things and three foot tall thistles. And a big pot of dusty miller on the porch because it's my son's favourite. I can't wait for gardening season! I even got these fuckin chicken shoes

I haven't been good with plants in the past, but I'm trying some houseplants. I have some kind or parlor-ish palm and a snake plant. The snake plant is doing fabulous and I'm not worried about it, but the palm was an iffy choice and I'm waiting to see if it survives (I hope it does). I know where I live is definitely not ideal for a palm although it's about to get nice and warm and a lot sunnier soon - and I'm getting an indoor humidifier for next winter if it's the last thing I do.
Once it's warm enough I'm going to take some inoculated clover seeds I got and throw them on my yard and hope for the best.

my gardening style is also throw it in a pot and hope for the best Got some mint, sage, and thyme to grow next! 2 leaves on my aloe are still wilted so I'm going to get the gel out of them and freeze them in ice cube trays. hopefully it will last until sunburn season!

http://instagram.com/p/BhKvn_8hORw My seedlings are looking amazing!!! I know I’ll need to transplant within a couple weeks. The chamomile came up first but the dill and cilantro are the tallest. I’m a little worried about transplanting. Also, I want to keep all of them lol

Palm has been sad so in an effort to give it more light I replaced the curtain that had been there since I moved in with a privacy window film and a sheer curtain. I think I'm going to get a red sheer curtain, too because WOW that's a LOT more light and the super sheer curtain doesn't block much light. I hope this light and warmth pleases palm.

I used to have flytraps, I miss them! My current apartment doesn't get enough light so they died. We just made a plant run today, and they had coffee plants! We picked one up, it'll be interesting to see how it grows. I also feel like I unlocked a green thumb achievement because one of my African violets is blooming for the second time.

Grow everybody grow!
So right now the weather is absolute hell. Snow, sleet, ice, wind and freezing temperatures. On Wednesday I will be out in the parking lot making signs because presumably we are opening the week after. God damnit Canada.
On an inside note I have an avocado pit and a carrot top both stuck with toothpicks in wine glasses full of water because if it's good enough for kindergarten, it's good for me.
