Today's bird is the poor little dude that bonked into my window at work and is currently sitting outside on the ground recovering

so glad that little bit of yellow felt well enough to fly away. :)
i don't see much besides pigeons & crows in the city, but i'll link some birds from my travels when i get a minute.

We have a super small handful of trees behind our apartment that is surprisingly active. Off the top of my head I've seen robins, cardinals, finch, sparrows, woodpeckers, crows, vultures (who mainly live in the cell phone tower), and blue jays, who apparently eat hummingbirds! There were quite a few bird fights today and the hums chased around some bigger birds but I got a little concerned I'd see a birb massacre.

In Austin, we get Monk parakeets around this time every year. They like to build massive nests on telephone poles and have a very annoying screech, but they are super pretty and I love watching them. Picture from Google:
