My fingertips are a dry winter-disaster right now so I didn't bother trying to take pics of them now, but I have to show off and swoon in public over Cadillaquer's Idun from the Valhalla collection. I nabbed it at a sale in the summer and at first I didn't think much of it besides it being a sweet color. I painted my nails the other day and picked that one out for some wintery stamping and I fell completely in love with it. The formula is sort of jelly-like and sheer at first but it covers in two coats and is so shiny! The microglitters inside are very shimmery in person which doesn't show in the photos of course, but imagine. Photos by polishaholic and cosmeticsanctuary (:

I just painted my nails with Zoya's Hannah. I love this type of color for Christmas time, it's a super bright red and opaque in two coats for me, so probably a one coater for most other people! I'm also in the process of changing my nail shape from short and square to hopefully a long, more pointy almond shape. Two of my nails on each hand are super round, and the rest grow in square so maintaining a shape is a constant struggle. I used to have super long, super pointy claws that I LOVED, but oh man they were not practical.

Sparkly Zoya nails today and yesterday. It's chipping a little on the edges so I'll probably add another coat tomorrow. Didn't realise until after I put it on that the shade is called Leia. Abloobloo

Didn't realise until after I put it on that the shade is called Leia. I painted my nails last night with Chicago by Cupcake Polish. The holo is super strong and I love it.

That pink is awesome. I need more holo polishes. I'm taking advantage of my nails being long, I'll need to trim them in the next few days before they start breaking. Zoya again - one coat of Giovanna and one of Ivanka.

That's a really pretty combo! I think I need Ivanka

Sooo.... use a base coat with Giovanna. I never use base coat, though I know blues and greens especially can stain. Thought I'd be ok with less than one day of wear. Nope, green fingernails. I look like the reanimated corpse of someone that died in a swamp.

Oh no D: Something that sometimes works for getting off stains for me is putting cuticle remover all over the nails and using a cuticle pusher/orange stick to lightly "scrape" it off. I know you didn't ask for advice, but just thought I would throw it out there.

It toned down a bit after a bath. For now it's covered with one of Zoya's pixiedust colours, I forget which. It's such a bizarre formula. Really lumpy, dries matte, needs a ton of coats. Not a huge fan.

Are stains a big deal to a lot of people? I've never cared ever since being into polish, but I always wear opaque colors, so it really doesn't matter if they're stained some it's hidden.

I wear polish on my toes pretty much 24/7 so stains on my toes really don't matter. But I don't often wear polish on my fingernails - usually only when they get really long - so creepy green-stained bare nails isn't a good look haha. If I wore it all the time I wouldn't care.

I use to be really good at avoiding staining but then I also wear base coat at all times and I'm careful when I remove nail polish. If anything I get a bit pissed if my nails are stained yellow if I'm not going to be wearing nail polish in a while but otherwise I just don't care

I have nails that stain very easily despite always wearing a base coat. I used to paint my nails just about daily and they would turn disgustingly yellow, but I wouldn't care because I literally always had polish on. Now I go for weeks sometimes without polish, so I like my natural nail to be free of stains.

I don't really mind a little staining, but I have a Julep polish that is waaay above and beyond normal staining. Not my picture, but it looks kindof like this when I take it off -
